Rules
Valid 2-way radio connections with HB50VC made between 18th March 2024, 00.00 UTC and 31st December 2024, 23.59 UTC count for the award. We try to be QRV on as many amateur radio bands as possible.
The IARU band plans must be adhered to. Connections on the same band and in the same mode [CW, Phone (Voice), Data (all digital modes)] only count once. There is only one award class. At least three QSOs must be created.

On April 18th, on World Amateur Radio Day, we remembered the founding congress of the IARU in Paris in 1925. A German group of the IARU was founded less than three weeks later on May 5th, 1925.
Perhaps it was this return of Germany to the international stage that accelerated the long-overdue abolition of the Audion-Versuchserlaubnis. When this became apparent on September 1, 1925, the end of the German Funk-Kartell was sealed, because the purpose of the cartel, the pooling of all forces to qualify registered broadcast listeners was history… What remains sensational, however, is what the protagonists of the broadcast and (ham)radio associations in have worked in Germany these 18 months: (Continue by clicking on the graphic)
… and of course the over 850,000 officially trained broatcasting listeners!
The end of the cartel purpose of the German Funk-Kartell led to a reorientation and thus to the merger with the Radio Technical Association (F.T.V.) in Berlin to form on July 28, 1925 the German Radio Technical Association (D.F.T.V.) / the forerunner of the DASD and thus today’s DARC. But that would be a new hamradio event…
It was on this day in 1925 that the International Amateur Radio Union was formed by 27 nations (Source: Magazine Funk, 1925/Issue 18, Site 215) in Paris.
On March 11, 2024 at 17:48 UTC the 12,000th 100FK awards were retrieved by Uwe DF5YT! Gratulation! At the same time were 222 awards for SWLs presented, that we don’t forget it! Therefore the total number is 12.222 awards! (to the current statistics)

Note: The number of awards that have already been earned is around 15% higher, but for various reasons they were not retrieved and therefore not counted.

On the first day of the third round, on March 1st shortly after 13 UTC, the first successfully worked 100FK Award Sprint in Gold was claimed. It was issued to Reinhard, DL3BWG. Congratulations!

Over the next few days we will support the development of the final award points for the February sprint awards with targeted offers, before the starting signal for the new series of March awards with (of course…) new images motifs is given on Friday. (refer to the DARC report from February 28th and the DARC circular post from February 29, 2024)
We understand that many award hunters now want to earn these diplomas not only in March per se, but also as quickly as possible. But please don’t let this lead to the exaggerated expectation that all SES must now be represented 24 hours a day and as if at the same time on all bands and in all modes. We all lead a different life outside of amateur radio… So please keep your expectations fair.
Many see the highlight in the marathon awards. That’s the intention. But please don’t forget here too – there is still time for the marathon awards until May 31st, 2024!
